Ornella Hegbe

Ornella Hegbe, serves as a clinician at the staff care center at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Ms.Hegbe is a licensed independent clinical social worker in the District of Columbia, is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). She has nine years of clinical experience providing crisis and case management services and counseling to individuals, families, and groups in non-profit, international and educational settings.
Ms. Hegbe has provided psychoeducation on trauma and various mental health topics, consultation, and solution-focused counseling to clients with a variety of mental health and substance abuse disorders. She also has expertise in performing psychosocial assessments, which is a key step in providing effective counseling.
Ms. Hegbe obtained her undergraduate degree in public health science from the University of Maryland at College Park, and her Master of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America. Ms. Hegbe loves traveling and learning about different cultures.
