Staff Care and Resilience Clinician

Marie-Adele Salem has been a Resilience Consultant roster member at the KonTerra Group since 2016. Originally from Lebanon, Marie-Adele is an expert in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support programs, and a certified Family Systemic Therapist. Since 2006, she has been working as a consultant with numerous INGOs and UN agencies intervening in armed conflicts, natural disasters, and complex emergencies.

She has worked in 12 countries in Asia, Central America, Africa and the Middle East, on Mental health, Psychosocial, GBV and protection programs. Her work in this area consisted of capacity development and self-care for actors working in this field, and of program development and evaluation. She developed several manuals and trainings on best practices to support populations who survived adversities and humanitarian actors who are impacted by their challenging roles.

Marie- Adele holds a Master degree in Clinical Psychology from St Joseph University in Beirut, and an Executive Master diploma in Psychosocial Interventions in War Torn Societies from the Lebanese University and the International Organization of Migration. She is currently based in France and speaks Arabic, French, and English.
