Morgan Haviland
Operations Coordinator
Morgan Haviland serves as the Operations Coordinator for the KonTerra Group on the Staff Care and Resilience Team, where she is committed to implementing excellent services. Prior to joining the KonTerra Group, Morgan worked in resettlement at the International Rescue Committee in Silver Spring, Maryland as a Case Aid for the Afghan Response team.
Morgan’s passion for staff care arose from her own personal experience working as a registered behavior technician in an outpatient behavioral health center, where she observed high rates of turnover and burnout. After transitioning from behavioral health to mental health, Morgan provided direct support to a team of staff responding to the US-Mexico border crisis, leading workshops, and groups. While working as a clinical program coordinator for the Trauma and Disaster Recovery Clinic in Denver, Colorado, she engaged in community outreach and supported clinic operations. Morgan has professional experience working for organizations in the U.S. and internationally, utilizing a global mental health lens.
Morgan holds her master’s degree in International Disaster Psychology: Trauma and Global Mental Health from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art Therapy from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and their two rescues, Glen Coco the cat and Pippin the pup.
