Candacia’s interest in evaluation and organizational learning is based on her experience implementing, monitoring, and evaluating education programmes primarily in East Africa. She has seven years of experience in international development and has worked as an educational specialist in South Sudan with Mennonite Central Committee and Loreto Ireland. Through this work, she gained experience in several key sectors including education, child protection, peacebuilding, health, livelihoods, WASH, and agriculture. Candacia is also deeply interested in trauma informed care and has received training in psychosocial support programming, trauma-informed education programming, processing therapy, human centered design, child protection in emergencies, and protection mainstreaming.
Candacia hold a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the People and dual undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Physics from Bryn Mawr College. She has also conducted graduate research in Biophysics at The Scripps Research Institute.
Candacia loves traveling and learning about different cultures. She is currently based in the US with her family and an overly energetic border collie.
